Goddess of inevitability, compulsion and necessity.
In some versions of the myth she was both the daughter and consort to Chronos (no surprise really) and was considered the most powerful dictator of fate and circumstance. She held a spindle and was awesome enough that both Gods and mortals respected her enough to pay their respects. Damn right. She was often paired with Bia in terms of shrines and frequently confused with Aphrodite and Ourania for whatever reason.
But then there was also the weird version where she was a snake coiling around a world egg with her Chronos. I’m not sure if that added to or took away from the badassery.
