In some versions of the myth, he was a real huge loser with the ladies. This guy was found chasing all kinds of ladies around only for them to desperately pray for freedom and be transformed into an assortment of trees or flowers. His luck with men, turns out, was only marginally better, managing to probably get laid several times before they were brutally murdered by other Gods because of his pompous attitude. He was that guy you really just loved to hate.
