God of segmented time. This was NOT Kronus who was a titan child.
In some versions of the myth he was pretty much the Ancient equivalent to Father Time. There were a lot of weird confusing theories around this particular God probably because his name often got confused with Kronus, and the concept of time was adopted in pieces by various dieties.
One of the weirdest theories about this God starts with the fact that he was Ananke’s husband. They were said to both embody snakes and ‘coiled around the world’. The world possibly be represented by a giant egg? This myth was so far off the beaten track it hardly had anything to do with anything or anyone else.
